After working at Holt Cat for 29 years I took the layoff in march of 09. They paid me through July of 09. I you behave yourself, work hard and make the company a HAND it will pay off in the long run.

I'm glad there are some that saw the layoffs coming. I fell for the "Vertafore Family" mantra. I also believed them when they were quoted as "not expecting layoffs" in June of 2010. Of course they promptly started at least two waves of layoffs.

Every time they build a building they lay people off to help pay for the new diggs which they did this past year. Incredible high tech, beautiful buildings. But there goes the job security and if you're not laid off, your pay raise. Your career goes no where if you don't have an MBA but the tuition reimbursement is nominal.... more...

The layoff methodology that was used in my case, and for several others, was something that should be documented and not learned by other companies with the same ethical standards as Satcom/Agiosat. Demonstrated a lack of integrity.
