Eaton just laidoff 50 worker's in Van Wert,OH on Sept 25,2009 for 6 month's with call back right's that's if they get call back.

There are limited promotion opportunities within the company as the economy slows down in US. There seems no progress in the industry since financial circumstances are getting worse with time. Eaton plans for over 5000 job cuts. I think Eaton is one of few companies that are making layoffs on a large scale...

Eaton's Marshall, MI location used medical and race discrimination as a factor in laying off two employees. A white female was let go because she missed several days of work battling cancer. A black male was let go, because he missed several days of work as a result of a blood clot. He also told his reporting VP that he was experiencing race issues in Marshall. The VP had one of his managers call the guy at home while he was sick and fire him. The VP bragged about this to a friend. This is the sickest thing I have heard about any company. It's disappointing to know that Eaton operates like this.
