no lack of enthusiasm

Dick Brass' article in the NY Times takes a skewed view of Microsoft. Brass seems to evaluate Microsoft in the consumer space and has drawn a premature conclusion that it is failing. Brass seems to totally ignore the fact that there are product lines outside of Windows & Office that have huge success - SharePoint, SQL Server, Dynamics & much more. That said, Microsoft doesn't take Google & Apple lightly. Bing has had decent success, and there will be more coming in the months ahead. There's certainly no lack of enthusiasm. I love working here.

there should be a tax on any company who doesn' want or can't find a way to profit in american and is costing american jobs. they - those companys should be viewed as non american and be exposed - sorry microsoft - i like you - but why are you sending jobs overseas or here is some news - even the medical and federal government have our school loans serviced overseas at the cost of american jobs. whats up with that. don't we have hight school grads, retired vets or persons, or unemployed college students or hourse wives who now need jobs and could do that from home etc. LETS not forget about out non violent excons who paid their dues and need jobs but are now unemployable due to no one hires felons or ex criminals so that leaves them to fight with illegal immigrants for jobs or go back to the life of crime. america we have problems that are not solved by giving our information and jobs to other non americans

5000 employees being laid off

The axe in Microsoft is going and falling on many Indian IT professionals as the company is slashing approx 5000 employees. I believe I am gonna be one of them. I think they are getting biased and favoring their own people in the bad economy. I have never thought this would happen at Microsoft that I am seen now as an Indian and laid off before others.
